Our Inspiration

 

After one taste of microgreens at the Carytown Farmers Market in 2018, we were so impressed by their flavor &

healthiness, we binge-watched YouTube to learn how to grow our own!

 

In October 2019 – after a ton of practice, trial, & error – we created Hedstrom's Homegrowns LLC.

The Hedstroms

Farming is in my blood, but it took me

  over 50 years to fully embrace it! My

  paternal grandfather and great-         grandfather   grew corn, tomatos, and a   slew of other crops in large fields. My father   has gardened his entire life and  has a green thumb to prove it. I've always grown herbs and enjoyed cooking with fresh ingredients, but in 2017, after adopting a plant-based diet  (via Dr. Fuhrman's Nutritarian eating plan), my consumption of, and love for, veggies exploded. Fortunately, Randy loves growing and eating fruits and vegetables as much as I do.
